Genetics, The Trilogy

No matter how many times I have said it, genetics will never cease to amaze me. We had parent teacher conferences this week and, yet again, it was demonstrated how much genetics is a part of us. The sweet one's teacher adores her. We went through her grades and her skills, etc. She thinks just like her daddy. Her grades were good, but her phonics skills need serious work. The steady one has always struggled with phonics. His mom said that his 2nd grade teacher was not as thorough as she should have been. It was a brand new teacher. He still can't stand phonics. It was amazing to hear it affirmed scientifically. The funny one is constantly confirming that he has his mama's personality. He won't quit talking to his neighbors in class. We laughed in the car about it. They are going through the same phases that I went through. So, they act like us, they think like us, they suffer like us, and we are grateful to be their parents.
