An end in sight.

This last week, I have discovered that my oldest has been telling people at school that we are moving at the end of the year. She is a very perceptive child, it's true, but mostly this results from the most common topic of discussion for everyone around us right now.
So: the answers to the most common questions.

When does the Steady One graduate? We've been married for ten years. For 8 1/2 of those years (at least) on of us has been in college. We are quickly coming to an "end" of this period of our life. He is set to graduate in May, 2010. He may end us with one or two summer courses. So, maybe June or July, depending on one or two things. His official degree is Environmentalism. He has really broadened his horizons and spread his wings with this degree. It's very intense because there is a lot of engineering and other elements of his classes that he has no history with. However, he should now be a very marketable man. ;)

What kind of a job will he get? We'd really love for him to get on long-term at Monsanto in Soda Springs, working in their mine development. It's something he has really enjoyed and they are a great employer. It's not certain. Nothing ever is. He could also work at any water treatment plant, in air quality testing, preparing Environment Assessments for various companies from contractors to cities. He could work towards his doctorate and teach at a University. We are willing to take what we get and go where the Lord sends us.

Will you move? Please refer to what kind of job he's getting. If he did get a position in Soda Springs, we'd move to between Lava Hot Springs and Soda.

Will you still work? It depends on how close to a big city we are and how much student loan debt is then due.

I think that covers it. I hope not to hear any of these questions from any of you again. j/k

We are very happy and excited for him to get this degree and move forward. We acknowledget the Lord's hand in all things in our lives, especially this degree. I have no doubt we'll end up serving missions in some 3rd World country and work in dirty wells. ;) I'm so excited.
